Change SharePoint 2010 Service Account Credentials (using PowerShell of course!)

Script:

# In my test environment, I only have one managed account. This
# does not reflect the production configuration for most SharePoint Farms.
# You may choose to declare more variables below to accommodate for all
# managed accounts in your farm.
$acct = "DOMAIN\SPAdmin"
$pwd="Enter Your Password Here"
$pwdSecure = convertto-securestring $adminPwd -asplaintext -force

# Change Managed Account credentials in SharePoint
Get-SPManagedAccount $acct | Set-SPManagedAccount -ExistingPassword
$pwdSecure-UseExistingPassword -confirm:$false

# Change credentials for Windows Services.
# I am using SharePoint Timer service in the example below.
# You may have more services that you need to update. Update the $service,
# $acct, and #pwd variables appropriately.
$service="name='SPTimerV4'"
$svc=gwmi win32_service -filter $service
$svc.StopService()
$svc.change($null,$null,$null,$null,$null,$null,$acct,$pwd,$null,$null,$null)
$svc.StartService()
